The Part-Time Nurse Practitioner in Gastroenterology provides comprehensive care under physician supervision in a clinical setting.

  • Perform assessments, diagnose, and manage gastrointestinal and liver conditions such as GERD, IBS, IBD, and liver disease.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and educate patients on disease management and lifestyle modifications.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated patient care and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Adhere to clinical, ethical, and legal standards in accordance with state regulations and practice protocols.


  • Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Nursing, an active Texas Nurse Practitioner license, national certification, and at least one year of NP experience, preferably in gastroenterology.

    Schedule is two days per week (8 hours/day), with potential for additional shifts. The role is on-site in a clinical environment requiring physical activity and safety awareness.
