Speech & Language Pathologists provide assessments and evidence-based interventions to pediatric clients with communication, social, cognitive, and feeding/swallowing challenges caused by physical, cognitive, or sensory impairments.

They work as part of a multidisciplinary team to develop tailored treatment plans, utilizing various therapy techniques and communication strategies, including AAC systems.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field, state licensing, ASHA CCC credentials, at least 2 years of pediatric clinical experience, background checks, and current CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities involve diagnosing and treating speech, language, social communication, and feeding disorders, training families, documenting progress, and participating in ongoing professional development.

They must demonstrate strong communication skills, empathy, professionalism, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and transferring patients.
