The Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) provides specialized assessment, diagnosis, and therapy services to students aged 5-22 with severe behavioral and developmental needs.

Conducts evaluations of speech, language, social communication, and feeding disorders; recommends AAC devices and strategies.

Develops and implements individualized treatment plans, delivering therapy in various settings and supporting feeding/swallowing needs.

Collaborates with educators, therapists, and families; trains staff and provides resources to promote effective communication.

Integrates communication strategies into behavior plans and supports crisis intervention efforts.

Maintains accurate documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and educational standards.

Qualifications include a master’s degree, CA licensure, and experience with severe disabilities; knowledge of AAC, behavioral interventions, and trauma-informed practices preferred.
