Qualified Dental Nurse

Job Description

*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. On a Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8.45am-5.15pm.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting dentists during procedures, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. *Responsibilities*

* Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
* Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments
* Sterilise and maintain dental instruments in accordance with health and safety regulations
* Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions, answering any questions they may have
* Record patient information accurately within SOE
* Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the clinical environment at all times
* Uphold strict infection control protocols in line with current guidelines

*Skills*

* Proven experience in patient care within a dental setting is essential
* Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and external providers
* Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
* Good IT literacy for handling electronic records and appointment systems
* Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential
* Knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care is advantageous
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while demonstrating professionalism and empathy

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Expected hours: 22.5 per week
